Three Goals that I want to achieve this year

 Three goals that I want to achieve this year are to get a college offer to play basketball. This would make me very happy because I love playing basketball. Another goal I have for myself is to graduate towards the top of my class. I think I am smart enough to achieve this goal. The last goal that I have for myself is to have a winning season for Lakeside Basketball. The team this year at Lakeside is looking promising and I hope we will do well.

  Prompt Response:  Quite a few times in my life, I have had to submit an assignment really close to the deadline because I totally forgot about it. After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

  Prompt Response:  One time I was in a dangerous situation that required my full attention was when I was using a chainsaw to cut some big tree logs. I had to make sure that all of my thoughts were on cutting the logs safely. Thankfully my dad guided me and explained how to use and control the equipment. Summary:  I used a chainsaw to cut logs and had to use my full attention. Reflection:  I'm thankful that I used my full attention to stay safe and do the action correctly.
