Prompt: If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

  Prompt Response:  It would be about my journey through playing basketball. Some of the main point would be the things that I've learned through playing basketball. Those are: leadership, teamwork, and happiness. I use all of these in my daily life which has helped me become a better person. Summary:  I would make a poem about myself playing basketball. Reflection:  I think I would make a good poem.

Prompt: When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

  Prompt Response:  When I am in a mood that I'm not a fan of, I try to think of why I am mad. If I find that I'm mad for a silly reason I try to calm myself down by understanding that it was dumb. If it is a justified reason, then I try to figure out how to become a better person. Summary: I become a better person through figuring out why I am mad. Reflection:  I hope to become a better person from understanding my mistakes.

Prompt: Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

Prompt Response:  I try to be creative as possible and think how to get things done with efficiently. I also am good at communicating with others and can get things done fast. One project that I was very proud of was when I made a clay sculpture with lots of detail. It took lots of time and effort but when I finished, it was very good.  Summary: Because I work hard and and efficiently I get things done such as my clay project. Reflection:  I think that this might be one of my best traits.

Prompt: After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

  Prompt Response:  I believe that the most effective rhetorical technique is pathos. Appealing to someone's emotion is one of the best ways to persuade people. Also using something that can relate to someone's daily life can persuade their mind. Summary:  A good way to persuade someone is to use pathos.  Reflection:  There are some other way to persuade people's minds.

Prompt: Choose a vocabulary word that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word.

  Prompt Response:  One word that describes me is hardworking. I love to be a responsible person and getting all of my jobs done. Also everything that I do, I do with all of my effort. Summary:  I am a hardworking person and I always get my work done. Reflection:  I will continue to be a good and hardworking person.

Prompt: Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

  Prompt Response:  I didn't feel like myself when I tried to fit in at a new school. I was quite young and tried to get into a friend group during elementary school. After I found someone who was similar to me, we became good friends. Summary:  I tried to fit in during elementary school and it didn't work. Reflection:  I'm glad I found a good friend group.

Prompt: Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

  Prompt Response:  I feel at peace when I can play basketball with myself. I enjoy getting some shots up but also playing 5 on 5 with my friends or random people. I find such joy in exercising and especially in a sport that I love playing. Summary:  I love playing basketball by myself. Reflection:  I hope to have more fun playing basketball.

Prompt: Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

  Prompt Response:  I had to rely on my mom when going through and adversity. She helped me and guided me through the struggle. Also she told me way to cope with stress. I really love my mom appreciate everything that she has done with me. Summary:  I went through an adversity and my mom helped me through it. Reflection:  I really love my mom.

What life skills are essential for high school?

 Response: One major life skill is patience. You have to be able to wait for others and know when and when not to do something. Also you have to be a responsible person. You have to get your things straight and know what is going on around you. Summary: You need many life skill to be successful.  Reflection: I need many life skills to develop later in my life.

Prompt: Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

  Prompt Response:  One time I had to take a break from my cousin. During summer one year, I saw him everyday for 5 days straight. I needed a break because we began to get annoyed with each other. We took a break for a week or two and then we saw each other again. I was happy to get away and spend some time with only myself. Summary:  I took a break from hanging out with my cousin and it helped my mental health. Reflection:  I'm glad I have a good relationship with him now.

Use a hyperbole, an understatement, and a litotes to describe today's lesson.

  Prompt Response:   Today’s lesson was so intense it felt like my brain ran a marathon while writing a thousand answers at once. Summary:  The lesson was a little challenging. Reflection:   The lesson was not uninteresting .

 Prompt: Over the break, I spent lots of time with family. Also I got gifts for others and I open gifts and was really happy. Summary: Over the break I had a great Christmas. Reflection: I hope 2026 is a reflection of that break. First Goal 1. My first goal is to get above  a  1300 on the SAT. 2. This goal is very important to me because it would allow me to have more opportunities to get into college.  3. To  accomplish this  goal   I  will try to spend 3 hours a week  on  studying SAT material. I believe this will propel me into the right spot to get my desired  grade  on the SAT. In  2025  I didn't do  the greatest  on the  SAT  but now that I know what I need to work on, I have confidence in myself to do better. Second Goal 1. My second goal is  to consistently dunk .  ​ 2.
