Of today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.

 Prompt Response: Ambiguous, Altruistic, and Affluence are words that I think that I will use the most in my writing. I will use these words because they can be related to American Literature in some fashion. Whether it is talking about different writers or different topics these words can be connected to them.

Summary: I think I will use the words Ambiguous, Altruistic, and Affluence later in the semester.

Reflection: I want to expand my vocabulary and become more knowledgeable on it.

  Prompt Response:  Quite a few times in my life, I have had to submit an assignment really close to the deadline because I totally forgot about it. Most times I would turn it in roughly 1 hour before it is due but one particular time, I turned it in just seconds before it was due. It was on a Friday night and I was out having dinner with my family, we got home pretty late after we had finished eating and I decided to call my friend to see if he wanted to play video games with me. We began to play and we were chatting about what had happened during the day. Eventually he brought up that we had to turn in some assignment that night. I had totally forgotten about it and I rushed over to my chromebook to check the time. The time was 11:58. I knew I had just seconds before it was late thankfully I turned it in on time.
