In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

Prompt Response: There was a time in middle school when a new kid came to school. He joined my friend group but he didn't quite seem to fit in. He seemed like he was in an entirely new world. Some of the conversations were awkward and he always wanted to be accepted. He eventually ended up changing schools. I hope he is doing well.

Summary: There was a boy that came to my middle school and he didn't fit in.

Reflection: Maybe I should have tried to help him become a friend in our friend group.
